BlogVistaHQ (“BlogVistaHQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes articles on history, world affairs, trending topics, and technology at blogvistahq.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you leave a comment, email us, or otherwise contact us, we receive whatever you share — typically a name, email address, and message content.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools log technical details such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Covered in the next section.
You don’t need an account, and we don’t require any personal information, to simply read articles on the Site.
2. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them, and allow trusted partners to use them, to keep the Site working properly, remember basic preferences, understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate, and — where applicable — to support advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how some parts of the Site function.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- Respond to messages, questions, and story tips you send us;
- Review and moderate comments, and guard against spam and abuse;
- Understand, in aggregate, which articles and categories readers find useful; and
- Meet legal or regulatory obligations.
4. Advertising & Analytics Partners
We use Google tools (including Google Analytics, delivered through Site Kit) to understand Site traffic, and the Site may display advertising served by Google or similar third-party ad networks. These partners may use cookies or device identifiers to measure performance or serve ads based on your browsing activity across sites. We don’t control these third-party cookies directly — you can review Google’s own practices at policies.google.com/privacy and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
5. Third-Party Links & Content
Some pages link out to other websites, and parts of the Site display a live third-party news feed that we don’t produce or control. Those links and that feed are governed by the privacy practices of the publisher in question, not this policy — we’d encourage you to review their terms separately before sharing any information with them.
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, analytics, email delivery), bound to use it only for that purpose;
- Authorities, where required to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal request; and
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data Retention
We keep information such as comments and email correspondence for as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymize it.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also limit cookies and interest-based advertising through your browser and the tools linked in Section 4. To exercise any of these rights, email us at blogvistahq@gmail.com.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, and we’ll revise the effective date above when we do. We encourage you to check back periodically — continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about anything in this policy? We’re happy to explain further — see Section 12 below.
